The countdown to Carlisle Carnivale begins
On Saturday 24 October, Carlisle city centre will become a world of live music, circus, street performance, strange encounters and glorious spectacle.
The Carlisle Carnivale is ran by Eden Arts with support from the Great Border City BID.

Circus performers
From 12pm
Be amazed by incredible circus performers bringing acrobatics, aerial displays, juggling and spectacular skills to Carlisle city centre as part of Carlisle Carnivale.
Enjoy live music and street performances popping up across the city throughout the day.
Look forward to captivating performances and plenty of moments to stop and watch.

Get ready for an afternoon of friendly competition at Carlisle Carnivale!
Teams of 6–8 people will go head-to-head in an It’s A Knockout-style challenge featuring games like the egg toss, pint pass and tug of war, plus plenty of surprises.
Businesses, charities, community groups and more are invited to take part on Saturday 24 October.
Twilight procession
From 6:30pm
Carlisle Carnivale will finish with a spectacular torchlit procession through the streets of the Great Border City, in the style and tradition of the Winter Droving.
LUXE will also be bringing their breath taking giant lanterns and illuminated creations to Carlisle. Expect glowing creatures, towering figures and plenty of fire and light as they make their way through the city.
